Ridgefield Veterinary Center is an independently owned small animal practice located in the beautiful town of Ridgefield, CT. We have been serving the local community for over 50 years, and are committed to providing the best animal care in the area. We are looking to expand our team of knowledgable and caring professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in clients and their pets with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Schedule appointments and manage the veterinary clinic's appointment calendar.
- Answer phone calls, emails, and other inquiries from clients.
- Provide information to clients about services, pricing, and general pet care.
- Maintain accurate records of client information, medical history, and treatments.
- Handle financial transactions, including processing payments and managing invoices.
- Keep the reception area clean and organized.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a veterinary receptionist or in a similar customer service role is preferred.
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage appointments and records accurately.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Proficiency in computer systems and software used for scheduling appointments and maintaining records. Experience with AviMark preferred.
