Role Description
- The Veterinarian will provide comprehensive medical, surgical, and preventive care for canine and feline patients. Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating illnesses and injuries, performing routine and advanced medical procedures, conducting wellness exams, and educating clients on pet health and care. The role requires adherence to established medical protocols and standards of care while ensuring compassionate and Fear Free treatment of patients. This is a part-time, on-site role located in Ridgefield, CT.
Qualifications
- Veterinary medical expertise, including diagnostic and surgical skills, and administering treatments
- Ability to conduct wellness exams and oversee preventive healthcare plans
- Effective communication skills for client education and team collaboration
- Time management and organizational skills to handle a dynamic caseload
- Commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality care
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution
- Valid state veterinary license in good standing
- Experience with small animals.
- Be Fear Free or willing to be certified in Fear Free.
