Ridgefield Veterinary Center is a fully equipped hospital, with ultrasound, digital radiographs, a surgical suite, 3 full exam rooms and seasoned staff.

Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Associate Veterinarian, located in Ridgefield, CT. The Associate Veterinarian will provide medical and surgical care to a variety of animals, conduct diagnostic assessments, and develop treatment plans tailored to each patient. They will counsel pet owners, maintain detailed medical records, and ensure the overall health and wellness of animals. Collaboration with a dedicated veterinary team to provide exceptional care is a key aspect of the role.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Veterinary Medicine, including disease prevention, diagnostics, and treatment
- Clinical skills such as surgical procedures, emergency care, and anesthetic management
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with pet owners and team members
- Experience with medical record documentation and familiarity with veterinary software (Avimark)
- Connecticut veterinary licensure and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)
- Passion for animal welfare and commitment to providing compassionate care
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Previous experience in a clinical setting is an advantage
