FUNDRAISING ASSISTANT
The Fundraising Assistant is a key member of the Fundraising Team and a true “get-it-done” person. This role is perfect for someone who is organized, adaptable, upbeat, and enjoys juggling a variety of projects in a fast-paced environment. Reporting to the Fundraising Director, they’ll support fundraising initiatives, events, sponsors, donors, and the Executive Director.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process gifts, payments, invoices, and donations in Showare.
- Send timely donor and sponsor acknowledgement letters.
- Manage sponsorship benefit fulfillment and invoicing.
- Coordinate sponsor tickets, requests, and communications.
- Create monthly sponsor social media posts.
- Run fundraising and financial reports and maintain tracking spreadsheets.
- Coordinate sponsor activations.
- Prepare staff meeting agendas and keep projects organized.
- Manage the Executive Director’s calendar and schedule meetings.
- Help secure silent auction items and assist in auction curation.
- Manage and fulfill fundraising mailings.
- Process nonprofit ticket donation requests.
- Purchase tickets/ads for nonprofit galas.
- Assist with fundraising events and special projects, as needed.
- Research and cultivate new corporate sponsors and individual donor prospects.
- Jump in wherever needed to help the Fundraising Team succeed!
REQUIREMENTS
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent writing skills for sponsor and donor correspondence.
- Experience or strong interest in nonprofits, music venues, entertainment, the arts and event planning.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Canva.
- Familiarity with ticketing system, Showare, a plus.
Pay: $51,000.00 per year
