Part time Driver - CDL required

Job Overview:

To provide transportation for residents of Ridgecrest Village and Crest Health Center to and from various appointments and activities in a safe and courteous manner.  This transportation will be provided using a variety of vehicles.

General Responsibilities:

• Transports residents to and from appointments and activities as needed.
• Demonstrates competency in skills mandated by required education and training.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

• High School graduate or GED equivalent.
• CDL license required, which includes passenger endorsed.
• Functional literacy in English.

Skills/Aptitude:

• Able to meet the public with confidence.
• Must possess the mental and physical capabilities to fulfill the duties of this position.
• Must possess patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a cheerful disposition.
• Must possess the knowledge, skill, and empathy necessary to work with geriatric residents.
• Must be able to continuously articulate clearly and precisely and communicate with persons of varying backgrounds.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to lift wheelchair approximately 3 feet to place in trunk of car.
• Able to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Strength to transfer supplies weighing a maximum of 20 pounds from floor to 40-inch countertop.

Working Conditions (may add additional conditions specific to defined work location):

• Exposure to seasonal conditions due to outside doors (temperature range from 60 to 80 degrees).
• Seasonal exposure to dust, pollen, etc. from doors.

**Pre-Employment Requirements:** 

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment physical exam, TB screening, and drug testing, as required for healthcare personnel under applicable regulations.
