What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part time Driver - CDL required position at Ridgecrest Village?
Job Overview:
To provide transportation for residents of Ridgecrest Village and Crest Health Center to and from various appointments and activities in a safe and courteous manner. This transportation will be provided using a variety of vehicles.
General Responsibilities:
- Transports residents to and from appointments and activities as needed.
- Demonstrates competency in skills mandated by required education and training.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
- High School graduate or GED equivalent.
- CDL license required, which includes passenger endorsed.
- Functional literacy in English.
Skills/Aptitude:
- Able to meet the public with confidence.
- Must possess the mental and physical capabilities to fulfill the duties of this position.
- Must possess patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a cheerful disposition.
- Must possess the knowledge, skill, and empathy necessary to work with geriatric residents.
- Must be able to continuously articulate clearly and precisely and communicate with persons of varying backgrounds.

Physical Requirements:
- Able to lift wheelchair approximately 3 feet to place in trunk of car.
- Able to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Strength to transfer supplies weighing a maximum of 20 pounds from floor to 40-inch countertop.
Working Conditions (may add additional conditions specific to defined work location):
- Exposure to seasonal conditions due to outside doors (temperature range from 60 to 80 degrees).
- Seasonal exposure to dust, pollen, etc. from doors.
