We offer free housing, meals and paid positions for our summer team. Summer Staff can expect to work hard, have fun, and grow in their relationship with Jesus!Job SummaryOur grounds team works hard to maintain Ridgecrest's beautiful property. They spend most of their days outdoors mowing grass, weeding, planting & watering flowers, trimming hedges, and anything else that our property needs! Join this team if you like being outside!Essential Job DutiesCampus Trash Runs, Grass Maintenance, Landscaping (pulling, grading, planting), power washing, spraying/pulling weedsMust be able to work on projects independently or with a group.Must have time management skills to ensure projects are finished efficiently.Must be flexible and able to adjust to a fluid workday & responsibilities based on changing weather conditions, coworkers’ availability and guest demands.Must be aware of and practicing Ridgecrest’s Grounds operating procedures.Must be able to work with landscaping machinery (mowers, weed eaters, trimmers)Requirements:Basic QualificationsHigh School Diploma or EquivalentPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift, push, pull, carry or otherwise move 50 lbsAbility to perform repetitive motions (crouching, stooping, reaching, kneeling, climbing stairs)Ability to read & understand chemical labelsAbility to stand and walk for 8 hours at a timeAbility to work in environmental factors such as heat, humidity, noise, rain, vibration, temperature and atmospheric changes.
