What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Inspector position at Ridge Engineering, Inc?
As a Quality Control Inspector, you will be responsible for performing various inspections on aerospace machined parts and assemblies. Throughout the manufacturing process these various inspections will include First piece inspections, in-process inspections, receiving inspections and final inspections. These inspections will be performed using tools such as but not limited to calipers, micrometers, height gage, thread gage and a CMM. Inspectors should have the ability to interpret blueprints and be able to use those blueprints and specifications to determine if the product is compliant. The inspector will follow established work instructions/quality management system to verify all documentation is properly recorded and saved as required. The inspector will need written, verbal, and interpersonal skills to work with other departments to ensure quality requirements are met. Experience in manufacturing of products may be substituted for years with quality experience, the right candidate can be trained.
Minimum qualifications:
· Minimum of 1 year working experience in a shop environment.
· Working knowledge of hand inspection tools Calipers, Micrometers, thread Gages.
· Basic blueprint reading.
· Basic computer skills in Microsoft word and excel.
· Ability to lift 30 lbs.
Preferred qualifications:
· Experience operating a CMM (PC-DMIS software a plus but not required).
· Experience Programming a CMM (PC-DMIS software a plus but not required).
· Experience using CAD models for inspection/manufacturing of aerospace products.
· More advanced knowledge of blueprint reading plus GD&T experience.
· Experience in an ISO 9001, AS9100 and AS9102 working environment.
· Experience in Aerospace/Defense work a plus.
· Good organizational skills and self-drive.
