Job Summary

Duties
- Lead and supervise nursing staff to deliver high-quality patient care across all shifts, ensuring adherence to facility policies and procedures.
- Coordinate patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and monitor progress to optimize health outcomes.
- Oversee medication administration, IV infusions, wound suturing, and other clinical procedures with precision and safety.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, medical documentation standards, and EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for accurate record keeping.
- Manage triage processes for incoming patients, prioritize urgent cases including acute pain management and infectious disease care, and facilitate effective communication among multidisciplinary teams.
- Conduct staff training on aseptic techniques, infection control protocols, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), and other clinical best practices.
- Support discharge planning, case management efforts, and coordinate with external providers for post-acute care or hospice & palliative medicine services.
Requirements
- Valid RN or LPN license in good standing; additional certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred.
- Proven leadership experience as a charge nurse or in a supervisory nursing role within long-term care settings such as nursing homes or assisted living facilities.
- Extensive clinical expertise in areas including long-term care nursing, emergency situation management, geriatrics, behavioral health, hospice care.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like PCC .
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining a positive team environment; excellent communication skills essential.
