Position Summary
RideShare Carz, a leading provider of car rentals to gig economy workers, is seeking an experienced and motivated Collections Supervisor/Sr. Collections Specialist to oversee our small collections team. This role is responsible for managing a team of collections specialists (currently 5 individuals), ensuring accurate billing and effective and timely recovery of outstanding receivables, while maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations, driving continuous improvement in collection metrics and processes, and reducing our cycle time for vehicle recovery with respect to past-due customers.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead, train, and supervise a small team of collection agents.
· Generate regular reports for management, including benchmarking against potential collections, prior period collections, and industry standard collection rates.
· Develop and implement process improvements and effective strategies for recovering outstanding rental, mileage, toll, and fee payments from on-rent customers.
· Monitor team performance and provide coaching and development to the collections team.
· Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws governing collections practices.
· Authorize non-standard payment plans with delinquent accounts, as necessary.
· Handle any customer complaints requiring escalation.
· Ensure customer service standards are upheld during all collections interactions.
· Ensure team’s compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Requirements
· Minimum of 4 years of experience in collections, preferably in the automotive industry.
· Strong knowledge of FDCPA, FCRA, and other relevant collections regulations.
· Certification in collections (e.g., Certified Collection Professional (CCP) or equivalent).
· Proven leadership experience managing a team in a fast-paced environment.
· Familiarity with account reconciliation and providing summarized reporting to management.
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
· High attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Knowledge of Federal, State and Local collections laws and practices.
· Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Skills
· Bilingual (English/Spanish).
· Weekend availability (not constant, nor necessarily in person).
· Intermediate organizational and analytical skills.
· Intermediate ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
· Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office (mainly Outlook and Excel) and data analytics/visualization platforms such as Tableau.
· Basic experience with Stripe.

Work Details
· Core Schedule: Monday through Friday - 8:30am to 5:30pm w/Lunch Break
· Pay: Salaried ($60,000 - $70,000 base, based on experience and qualifications).
· Location: In-Person.
