What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Writer - Scorpion Harley-Davidson position at RideNow Powersports?
Scorpion Harley-Davidson is seeking outgoing, friendly individuals to join our Service Team! If you are a positive, upbeat, and interactive Service Writer with a passion for customer service, this opportunity may be perfect for you!
Responsibilities
- Schedule appointments for repair, maintenance, recall work
- Greet customers, inspect their motorcycles, and answer questions
- Document problems with Motorcycles and clearly describe them on the Repair Order
- Notify the Service Manager of additional work needed or any delays in expected completion as soon as they become known, so the customer can be immediately notified
- Advise customers on necessary/suggested services and cost
- Offer additional services and products, including special promotions
- Review Repair Orders in progress to ensure quality and timeliness
- Follow the status of a customer's powersports vehicle from service bay entry through the completion of work
- Communicate any changes in timeline, repairs, or cost to the customer
- Upon completion of work, review the work order with the customer
- Maintain current technical qualifications by completing all training programs assigned by the Service Manager
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- 1 years of Powersports, Harley-Davidson, or Automotive Dealership service experience
- 1 years Commission Based customer-facing sales experience (preferred)
- Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills
- A positive attitude, good work ethic, and professional appearance
- Pleasant, energetic, conscientious, and dependable personality
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver's license and a good driving record
- Motorcycle Endorsement preferred
- Must pass a pre-employment background check, MVR, and drug screen
