Responsibilities
- Safely operate various vehicles including mini vans, paratransit vehicles, and other commercial transportation modes to transport patients.
- Assist passengers with getting in and out of the vehicles.
- Maintain clear communication with dispatchers, healthcare facilities, and passengers to coordinate timely pickups and drop-offs.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections, perform basic maintenance checks, and report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies to ensure passenger safety at all times.
- Manage documentation related to trips, including logs of mileage, passenger details, and incident reports if necessary.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills by creating a welcoming environment and addressing passenger needs professionally.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with passengers, healthcare staff, and team members.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance basics to ensure safety and operational readiness.
- Prior experience in commercial driving or transportation services is a plus.
