Specialist Facilities

Responsible for the provision of facility maintenance and support services. Ensures the safety, security, and convenience of facility occupants and guests, while also ensuring the cost-effective operation of corporate facilities. Coordinates with the Property Manager on landlord-provided services.

• Examine building systems for functionality through hands-on involvement and use of contract service providers; maintain plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and related systems.
• Coordinate daily facility operations, including reception services.
• Oversee and ensure custodial services for buildings; establish preventive maintenance schedules as appropriate.
• Operate Service Desk logs and maintain facility work orders related to day porters.
• Perform daily administration of the access control system (as applicable) and all related employee badges; ensure timely addition and deletion of building access in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Conduct weekly employee orientation on security and safety programs; collaborate with facility security personnel to optimize security at all times.
• Assist local and Real Estate Territory Managers in tracking floor space usage and monitoring approved building modification projects.
• Coordinate and execute facility occupant moves within and between facilities as required.
• Maintain CAD file drawings depicting office/workstation layouts.
• Ensure special needs are met for conference and training room setups.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Minimum 4–6 years of building services-related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of CAD design required.

• Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
• Capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong customer service and organizational skills.
• Versatile and able to operate hand tools.
• Ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a team.

• Typically an office environment with adequate lighting, ventilation, and normal temperature and noise levels.
• Work assignments are diversified; ability to interpret, comprehend, and apply complex material, data, and instructions; prepare and convey diversified information.
• Minimal physical effort required; work is mostly sedentary but may involve walking, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting or carrying objects typically weighing less than 10 lbs.
• Moderate dexterity required for regular application of basic skills (calculator, keyboard, hand tools, eye/hand coordination).
