The Operations Manager oversees the daily overall operations of the retail location. This is a leadership position and is expected to effectively drive the overall performance of the store and store Operations through supervision, communication and coordination of team members. This position is a “working manager” position and is expected to be working the sales floor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that each Guest receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every guest, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of service.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, assigning weekly performance goals and assuring their completion, while accomplishing your own goals.
- Recruit, onboard, train and strategically schedule employees to achieve sales, profitability, market share, and business plan objectives. Ensures sales team is strategically staffed and placed for enhanced productivity.
- Delegate responsibilities to employees to perform them while enforcing all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, training programs, and cultural values.
- Resolve internal staff conflicts efficiently and to the mutual benefit of those involved.
- Maintain staff performance by appraising, coaching, counseling, and delivering disciplinary actions in partnership with the Human Resources team.
- Provide guidance and feedback to help others strengthen specific selling and product knowledge.
- Manages workforce productivity, efficiency and process improvement projects and initiatives.
- Effectively communicates with company leadership team, on a regular basis.
- Required to learn, understand and enforce company policies, procedures and safety rules.
- Adheres to company work hours, policies, procedures and rules applicable to management-level employees.

Requirements:Essential Physical Requirements: (Lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, climbing, reaching, and standing/walking for the entire shift)
- Ability to read, count and write in order to accurately complete all documentation.
- Ability to freely access all areas of the store including selling floor, stock area, and cash wrap.
- Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to run the store.
- Ability to move or handle merchandise throughout the store generally weighing 0-60 pounds.
- Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates, including 45 hours or more per week.
Essential Qualifications:
- Previous retail management experience preferably in a supervisory role. Minimum of three years.
- High School Diploma
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as Employee handbook, manuals, policies and procedures.
- Ability to interact with customers and staff. Strong communication skills are a must.
- Must be able to work with minimum amount of supervision under stressful conditions.
