Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Automotive Detail Manager to lead our vehicle cleaning and finishing operations. In this role, you will oversee the team responsible for car washes, detailing, buffing, and cleaning vehicles to ensure they meet the highest standards of quality and presentation. Your leadership will drive efficiency, uphold safety standards, and enhance customer satisfaction through meticulous vehicle care.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations of the vehicle detailing team, ensuring timely completion of car wash, buffing, cleaning, and window tinting tasks
- Train team members in proper detailing techniques, including buffing, cleaning procedures, and custodial practices
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and appearance for all vehicles before delivery or customer pickup
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed during detailing processes and when operating equipment
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, detailing products, and equipment to optimize workflow
- Coordinate with service advisors to prioritize vehicle turnaround times and meet customer expectations
- Uphold a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement
Requirements
- Proven experience in car wash services, detailing, buffing, or custodial work with a strong focus on quality control
- Prior supervisory or managerial experience in an automotive or janitorial setting is preferred
- Knowledge of window tinting techniques and equipment is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers
- Ability to operate various cleaning tools and machinery safely and efficiently
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and cleanliness standards
