Medical Receptionist
We are seeking an experienced, friendly, and organized Medical Receptionist to join our busy medical office. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and customer service skills, strong attention to detail, and prior experience using Athena EHR.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in patients in a professional and welcoming manner.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments.
- Register new patients and update demographic and insurance information.
- Verify insurance eligibility and collect copays.
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls.
- Manage electronic medical records using Athena EHR.
- Process referrals and other administrative tasks.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
- Support providers and clinical staff with daily front office operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a medical office required.
- Experience with Athena EHR is required.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification.
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while providing outstanding patient service.
