What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Field Application Engineer position at Richtek?
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Interface with customers on all levels of technical support which include product and solution suggestions from ground up, system power tree analysis, simulation, customized evaluation board design, customized circuit schematic, PCB layout review and debug
• Work closely with sales team on customer development strategies
• Provide innovative new product ideas to marketing and design teams based on market understanding and development trends
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Strong technical background in Electrical Engineering with focus on power management. At minimum a BSEE is required, and an MSEE is preferred.
• Minimum of 5-10 years related FAE (AE) experience with power management products. Solid power supply design and manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical skill to extract valuable information from customer visits
• Creative in providing total solution to solve customer’s problems
• Good communicator and effective presenter to lead in-depth technical discussions, both internally with different departments and externally with customers
• Able to work with minimal guidance and supervision.
• Able to plan and prioritize tasks with good consideration on resource management.
• ~50% traveling to support customers
