Day Shift - 7.5 Hours (United States of America) Richmond University Medical Center is seeking an experienced Healthcare Facilities Supervisor to support the safe and reliable operation of building systems throughout the hospital campus. This position plays a key role in supervising Local 30 engineering staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining a safe environment for patients, visitors, and clinical teams. Responsibilities Supervise daily assignments and performance of Local 30 engineering personnel. Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, medical gas, and life‑safety systems. Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies, including TJC, DOH, CMS, NFPA, OSHA, and FDNY. Conduct daily and weekly safety/environmental rounds; support Environment of Care (EOC) initiatives. Coordinate outside contractors and vendors; verify completion and quality of work. Maintain accurate PM logs, testing records, and compliance documentation in accordance with survey readiness standards. Support small facility projects, equipment installs, and infrastructure upgrades. Provide after-hours, weekend, and emergency response coverage as needed (utility failures, weather events, equipment breakdowns). Required Qualifications 3–5 years of facilities, engineering, or maintenance experience in a hospital or institutional setting. Strong working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire alarm/sprinkler systems, and building automation. Familiarity with healthcare regulatory requirements (TJC, DOH, CMS, NFPA, OSHA). Experience supervising unionized staff (Local 30 preferred). Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and equipment specifications. Strong communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills. Computer proficiency; experience with CMMS systems preferred. Preferred Qualifications Associate’s degree or technical trade certification. Relevant credentials such as CHFM, CHSP, stationary engineer license, or OSHA 30.
