Partner Veterinary is looking for a Diagnostic Imaging Veterinary Assistant to join our Richmond, VA team!

  • Additionally, Partner Veterinary has a dedicated Learning and Development Department, to help assistants achieve your professional goals, supported by two veterinary technician specialists (VTS) Heather Carter and Christine Weaver.
  • Partner Veterinary provides Veterinary Assistants with tuition support to an accredited Veterinary Technician program and mentorship to pass the VTNE

What does your day look like at Partner?


The Diagnostic Imaging Veterinary Assistant plans and performs CTs and MRIs that are requested by doctors within PVESC, or from the referring community. The Diagnostic Imaging team collaborates with PVESC departments to produce images that enable doctors to diagnose and treat a variety of diseases and disorders. You will work with unique and varied cases, and you have the resources to enable optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1-year MRI and CT experience
  • Minimum 1 year Veterinary Assistant experience in an emergency or critical care setting
  • Understanding of veterinary workflows and procedures
  • A curious and motivated energy
  • Interest in collaborating with the teams across the Partner network

Physical Requirements (ability to):

  • Quickly process, analyze, and react to unplanned and emergent medical situations without delay, so as to ensure the safety of team members and patients
  • Stand for up to 12 hours with limited breaks
  • Lift up to 40 lbs without assistance
