Position Overview:
The Case Manager will be responsible for overseeing case flow and calendar management to ensure client satisfaction and that firm revenue goals are consistently met. This role also includes direct oversight of the Legal Assistant team, providing guidance, accountability, and corrective action as needed to maintain efficiency, compliance, and high performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee case progression from intake through resolution to ensure timely movement and revenue generation
- Manage and maintain firm-wide calendar flow, ensuring deadlines, hearings, and key milestones are met
- Monitor case activity and identify bottlenecks or delays, implementing solutions proactively
- Supervise and support Legal Assistant staff, including training, coaching, and performance management
- Provide ongoing feedback and implement corrective action when necessary to maintain standards
- Ensure all team members follow firm procedures, legal requirements, and compliance standards
- Work closely with attorneys to align case strategy with workflow and timelines
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to case movement and revenue goals
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a law firm environment required
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable holding team members accountable and addressing performance issues
- High level of professionalism and discretion
Preferred Skills:
- Experience managing case flow or legal operations
- Familiarity with case management software and reporting tools
- Experience in Probate, Estate Planning, Medicaid Benefits
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Pay: $21.63 - $24.04 per hour
