Pillars for successful employment are work ethic, integrity, and competence.We are currently seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant.Job Responsibilities and Duties:Assist in the delivery of occupational therapy services under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.Implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans in accordance with physician orders, AOTA standards, and state and federal regulations.Guide residents through therapeutic exercises and activities, providing instruction, encouragement, and physical assistance as needed.Document occupational therapy services, resident progress, and observations accurately in the medical record.Provide feedback and collaborate with the Occupational Therapist regarding resident progress, concerns, and recommendations for re-evaluation.Assist with resident interviews and observations to support assessment of health status and recovery progress.Prepare documentation required for billing, discharge planning, and care coordination as directed.Schedule and coordinate therapy sessions with nursing staff to ensure continuity of care.Monitor resident environments to identify barriers to recovery and recommend accommodations to the Occupational Therapist.Utilize and assist residents with adaptive equipment and assistive devices such as grab bars, adaptive utensils, reachers, and wheelchair accessories.Ensure occupational therapy equipment is properly stored, cleaned, sanitized, and used safely.Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss resident progress and discharge planning.Adhere to state Occupational Therapy Practice Acts and professional association guidelines.Promote teamwork, respectful communication, and a positive therapeutic environment.Support facility readiness for regulatory surveys, OSHA inspections, and compliance reviews.Promote resident dignity, safety, infection control practices, and compliance with facility policies at all times.Requirements:Valid, unrestricted Occupational Therapy Assistant license in the state of practice.Meets all educational requirements for licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.Valid driver’s license in the state of employment.Knowledge of skilled nursing facility regulations, long-term care laws, and rehabilitation standards.Ability to work only under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist as required by state law.Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.Commitment to confidentiality, HIPAA compliance, and resident rights.Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.Physical ability to move throughout the facility, assist residents, and respond during emergency situations.Willingness to work beyond normal hours, including weekends and holidays when necessary.Benefits:Health InsuranceDental InsuranceDisability InsuranceVision InsuranceEmployee Assistance Program401(k)Life InsurancePaid Time OffAdditional Benefits:Telemedicine: $0 co-pay for telemedicine appointments, providing easy access to medical consultations from the comfort of your home.Unlimited Assistance: Receive unlimited support for legal, financial, childcare, elder care, and more—designed to support your personal and family well-being.Mayo Clinic Programs: Access exclusive programs from the Mayo Clinic, including resources for workouts, lifestyle, mental health, and diet to promote a balanced and healthy lifestyle.These additional benefits are available to you without reducing your take-home pay!We only accept resumes and applications submitted directly through our Applicant Tracking System for posted positions.
