What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Clerk position at Richmond Golf Club?
POSITION SUMMARY: Computes, classifies, records and verifies numerical data for use in maintaining accounting records and membership accounts. Other duties may be assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Verifies and posts details of daily business transactions, such as sales, taxes and gratuity, and totals accounts to ledgers or spreadsheets.
- Updates Epicurean report and sends it out weekly.
- Balances petty cash and safe. Prepare deposits and change orders.
- Audits and posts all activity to member accounts.
- Prepares monthly billing for member statements and other country clubs.
- Calls delinquent member accounts and prepares payment reminder letters signed by the GM. Tracks timing of various delinquent letters and ensures each is mailed appropriately.
- Prepares, bills and updates members for NCGA and WGA handicap and dues.
- Accounts Payable. Codes and inputs invoices. Performs bi-weekly check runs.
- Assist employees and members by answering questions related to accounts, procedures, services and POS software.
- Assists Controller with: Human Resource functions: processing new hires, ADP payroll, open enrollment. Accounting functions: reports, account auditing, banking and anything else that may be requested.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
