Role Description
Richmond College Prep is seeking 2 full-time Special Education Resource Teacher to join our team on-site in Oakland, CA. This role involves providing tailored instructional support and interventions for students with diverse learning needs. Responsibilities include creating and implementing IEPs (Individualized Education Plans), collaborating with general education teachers, monitoring student progress, and effectively communicating with parents and staff to support student growth. The ideal candidate will create inclusive classroom environments and advocate for the success of every student.
Qualifications
- Experience with Special Education and working with students with various disabilities
- Proficiency in teaching techniques tailored to K-8 and middle school curriculum
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with students, parents, and colleagues
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Understanding of inclusive teaching practices and adaptability in diverse educational settings
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field; Special Education credential required
- Passion for fostering student growth, inclusion, and academic achievement
- Prior experience within a school setting or with K-8 education is an asset
