Job Summary
We are seeking a hands-on, engaging STEM Elective Teacher/Science to teach grades 6-8. This role focuses on creating project-based learning experiences that build curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving skills through science, technology, engineering, and math. CalSTRS Health, Vision and Dental $3,000 starting bonus Responsibilities Plan and teach engaging, hands-on STEM electives for 6–8 students Design project-based lessons that promote critical thinking and collaboration Differentiate instruction for diverse learners, including English Language Learners Build a positive, structured classroom culture Assess student learning and provide feedback Collaborate with staff and communicate with families Support school events such as STEM fairs or exhibitions Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required (STEM or education preferred) Teaching credential (or working toward one) preferred Experience with elementary and/or middle school students Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills Passion for hands-on, student-centered learning Compensation Full-time, school-year position Salary based on experience
