The District
The Richland School District encompasses the cities of Richland and West Richland. The District includes eleven elementary schools, four middle schools, two senior high schools, an alternative school with grades nine through twelve, an Early Learning Center, a K-12 online school, and a home school partnership program. The District also is a partner in a regional STEM high school based in Pasco and a regional Skills Center in Kennewick. Richland schools receive strong support from the community. The most recent operating levy in February 2023 was approved by our community with a 56% “yes” vote, and a second levy specific to instructional technology also passed. A February 2017 $98 million dollar construction bond passed with 61.5% approval and has funded several successful construction projects. Approximately 13,500 students attend schools in the Richland School District.

Qualifications
Education/Certification/Experience
• Valid Washington State Career & Technical Education certification (CTE) in CTE Broadcast/Video Production (VCode 100201 and 090701) OR ability to obtain endorsement within two (2) calendar years of the date of hire with proper industry experience.
• Non-teaching work experience related to TV Broadcasting
• Current First Aid and CPR certifications, or ability to earn.
• Demonstrated knowledge of technology and its application in the classroom.
(*) Note: Business and Industry candidates can be qualified for this position via the Washington State Plan 2 CTE Business & Industry route with relevant industry experience in Business, Computer Sciences, STEM, and/or Media/Communications. Performance Responsibilities
1. Teach subjects as outlined in OSPI approved curriculum frameworks.
2. Demonstrate commitment to sustain an outstanding program in alignment to RSD, Washington State CTE program standards.
3. Teach and assess career and college readiness standards as aligned to 21st Century Skills as required for CTE programs.
4. Teach and assess leadership skills involving both in-class and out-of-class activities.
5. Develop and maintain positive motivation to support high levels of student learning.
6. Differentiate instruction to accommodate all learners.
7. Collaborate with instructional colleagues within a Professional Learning Community to improve student achievement.
8. Attend required program advisory committees and implement recommendations as approved by committee.
9. Communicate with parents, colleagues, counselors, and administration regarding student progress as needed.
10. Establish and maintain standards of student behavior needed in support of a safe and engaging learning atmosphere in the classroom.
11. Evaluate student learning and modify teaching strategies as necessary to ensure the success of all students.
12. Maintain professional competence and certification through attendance at professional conferences, in-service events, and self-directed professional growth activities.
13. Utilize technology to impact student learning.
