The Richland Hospital is seeking a full-time Environmental Services Director (Housekeeping/Laundry) to join our team. This position is responsible for the coordination, direction, implementation, evaluation, and fiscal management of personnel, services, and resources for the Housekeeping and Laundry Departments.
The Environmental Services Director works collaboratively with the Vice President and provides leadership consistent with the hospital’s mission, core values, ethical directives, and established policies and procedures. This role ensures staff competencies are maintained, communicates clear performance expectations—including interpersonal skills, positive attitude, teamwork, and compliance with the Hospital’s Behavior Standards—and monitors patient satisfaction through timely survey reviews.
The Director promotes a cohesive work environment and interacts professionally with all members of the healthcare team. This is a working supervisor position, which may require performing housekeeping or laundry duties as needed.
Education / Licensure / Skills:
High School Diploma required
Formal management training preferred
Hospital experience preferred
The ideal candidate works cooperatively with all healthcare team members, communicates effectively with the Vice President, and actively participates in departmental meetings and discussions.
