This position is for the 2026 - 2027 school year.
Special Education Preschool Programs provide specialized instruction and support for students ages 3 to 5 years old with various disabilities who typically receive some or all of their instruction in the special education setting. Specialized instruction and support can include academics, functional needs, behavioral intervention, and/or social-emotional instruction and support. The teacher must provide or supervise the use of adaptive equipment, personal care, toileting, medical care, and feeding of students if stated in the IEP. Teachers accepting positions in Preschool programs must become certified in CPI and follow all district procedures related to the use of CPI techniques. Requires supervision and proper utilization of one or more teaching assistants.
Certification requirements:
For preschool inclusion programs - Early Childhood SpEd certification
For non-inclusion preschool programs, any applicable Special Education certification
