Duties
- Assist senior mechanics with vehicle repairs, including engine work, brake service, tire changes, and general maintenance
- Perform roadside assistance duties such as jump-starting vehicles, changing flat tires, unlocking vehicles, and providing fuel delivery
- Use hand tools and power tools safely to disassemble and reassemble vehicle components during repair processes
- Conduct basic vehicle inspections to identify issues and relay findings to the lead mechanic for further diagnosis
- Support auto body repair tasks by preparing vehicles for painting or minor dent repairs when needed
- Help with heavy lifting of vehicle parts or equipment to ensure efficient workflow and safety compliance
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including tool organization and proper disposal of waste materials
Requirements
- Basic mechanical knowledge with familiarity in automotive systems and maintenance procedures
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and automotive service equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in various weather conditions
- Strong interest in automotive repair, auto restoration, or vehicle maintenance fields
- Good communication skills to follow instructions clearly and work effectively within a team
- Prior mechanic experience is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is advantageous
