What are the responsibilities and job description for the Residential Property Manager position at Richey Property Management?
We are a fast growing Real Estate/Property Management Company is seeking a full-time team member to act as a Property Manager for a portfolio of residential properties. We need someone who has great people skills, impressive time management skill, attention to detail and the ability to learn quickly. In this small, growing company, you will wear a lot of hats and no task will be too menial. In this role, some of your responsibilities would include:
- Manage a Growing Portfolio . You will manage a large number of properties and help ensure the properties are ready for occupancy, conduct interim and turn-over inspections and document everything in our property management software, Rentvine. When a property has maintenance needs, the tenant will call you. If you have some basic home repair knowledge, this will help you to ask the right questions before scheduling maintenance.
- Point of Contact. You will manage the relationship with the home owner and help them keep them updated. You will need to be intimately knowledgeable with the owner’s monthly statement, and any tenant or maintenance issues. You will need good judgement, business savvy, tact and diplomacy, as well as time management skills to be successful.
- Variety and Challenge . This isn’t a cookie-cutter position. You will be challenged to solve problems quickly, keep confidences and manage highly variable tasks and people. The company will provide you with the tools to get the job done – you bring the positive attitude and drive.
Who should apply for this job?
- At least two years’ experience in property management
- Virginia Real Estate License a plus
- Experience with property management software a plus (Rentvine, Propertyware, Rent Manager, AppFolio, etc.)
- Amazing people skills. Consistently creates an outstanding experience for the customer
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks, prioritize duties and handle stressful situations
- Highest integrity and always does the right thing
- Accountable, doesn’t make excuses, takes responsibility

- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work well independently
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Valid driver’s license and insurance, reliable transportation
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, economics, finance, construction or real estate preferred
- Spanish speaking a plus

What are the hours? Generally 40 hours a week primarily Monday through Friday, but if a tenant or an owner has an issue that needs to be resolved off-hours, you will be responsible for solving the problem.
