General Purpose:
Richey May is seeking a driven and strategic Accountant to join our growing Client Accounting Services (CAS) practice. In this role, you will not just be a "bookkeeper"—you will serve as the financial backbone for a diverse portfolio of high-growth clients. You will work side-by-side with Managers and industry experts to deliver the full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, and strategic insights that empower our clients (primarily general small business) to make data-driven decisions.

Financial Operations & Reporting
- Financial Operations & Reporting: Own the Financial Narrative: Manage the integrity of financial data for multiple client accounts. You will move beyond data entry to ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness in all reporting.
- Full-Cycle Execution: Orchestrate end-to-end accounting operations, including posting transactions, complex bank/credit card reconciliations, and rigorous General Ledger maintenance.
- High-Impact Reporting: Collaborate with leadership to produce sophisticated monthly financial packages (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow) that provide clients with a clear view of their financial health.
Compliance, Payroll & Specialized Services
- Regulatory Excellence: Manage critical compliance workflows, including sales and use tax filings, 1099 preparation, and payroll tax submissions, ensuring our clients remain compliant across jurisdictions.
- Payroll Administration: Oversee payroll processing with precision, ensuring accurate journal entry recording and reconciliation.
- Year-End Readiness: Lead "tax clean-up" initiatives, transforming client books into audit-ready financial records for year-end tax returns.
Technology & Digital Transformation
- Master the Modern Tech Stack :Leverage best-in-class cloud technology to drive efficiency. You will gain expert-level proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Sage Intacct, Office 365, and Bill.com.
- System Optimization: Drive client onboarding by architecting charts of accounts and integrating third-party operational tools (e.g., Expensify, Gusto) to automate workflows and reduce manual touchpoints.
Advisory & Strategic Initiatives
- Beyond the Numbers: Support high-level advisory projects, including "Quality of Earnings" reviews and financial due diligence.
- Value-Add Consulting: Contribute to special initiatives that drive client value, such as Employee Retention Credit (ERC) filings, cash flow forecasting models, and KPI dashboard development.
Job Qualifications:
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and/or Sage Intacct is highly desired. Advanced Excel skills are essential.
- A self-starter with a relentless work ethic, exceptional communication skills, and a genuine desire to grow into a consultative advisor role.
Experience:
- 1–3 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Background in public accounting or a specialized Client Accounting Services (CAS) practice is a distinct advantage.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
Salary : $65,000 - $85,000
