Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness at the Vinalhaven Ferry Terminal. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Schedule is set for every Monday from 9:00 am to 1:00pm
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming in assigned areas.
- Doing laundry and making beds
- Conduct janitorial duties in a commercial setting and adhering to established cleaning protocols.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs and upkeep of equipment.
- Ensure restrooms are clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
- Follow safety guidelines and procedures while performing all cleaning tasks.
Qualifications
- Previous custodial or janitorial experience is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment is a plus.
- Experience in commercial cleaning or industrial cleaning environments is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing time effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
