Position Summary
The Groundman/Laborer supports construction crews in all aspects of highway, traffic signal, ITS, and sign installation projects. This entry-to-mid-level role is critical to maintaining safe, productive, and efficient job sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with installation of traffic signals, signs, and ITS equipment
- Perform manual labor including digging, trenching, and material handling
- Load/unload tools, equipment, and materials
- Set up and maintain traffic control devices
- Assist operators and mechanics during installation activities
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
Qualifications
- 0–2 years of construction experience preferred
- Willingness to learn and grow within the company
- Ability to perform physical labor in various weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license required
