What are the responsibilities and job description for the Engineering Tech - Truss Designer and Wall Truss Designer - NOT REMOTE WORK position at Richardson Industries Inc?
Richco Structures is looking to grow our design team! Remote not available.
Truss designer reads residential and commercial plans to design wood trusses using software for roof, floor and wall truss systems. The designer communicates both verbally and written to members of the team, customers and production staff to ensure the designs are accurate and to the customers specifications.
Duties include
- Read and interpret architectural and structural drawings
- Design structural components
- Produce individual plans and final layouts for roof, floor and wall trusses.
- Resolve any discrepancies as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years design or drafting experience/training preferred. Will train.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Knowledge of construction industry preferred
- Strong math skills
- Ability to communicate orally and written
- Strong work ethic
