This is a full-time on-site role for a Vehicle Mechanic located in Richardson, TX. The Vehicle Mechanic will be responsible for performing routine and emergency maintenance, diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues, and ensuring the safety and efficiency of the district's vehicle fleet, including heavy equipment. The role includes conducting inspections, managing preventive maintenance schedules, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Proficiency in Vehicle Maintenance, Maintenance & Repair
- Ability to diagnose and resolve issues with Troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge and experience working with Heavy Equipment maintenance and repair
- Strong Supervisory Skills to oversee tasks and coordinate effectively
- Familiarity with safety protocols and regulatory compliance for vehicle operations
- Ability to work in an on-site environment and perform physically demanding tasks
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical coursework or certifications in automotive or diesel technology are a plus
- Valid driver's license; CDL preferred
- Experience working in an organizational or fleet maintenance setting is advantageous
