Duties
- Safely operate box trucks and commercial vehicles for delivery routes.
- Load and unload appliances using dollies, lifts, and manual lifting techniques, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Deliver appliances to customer locations across designated routes, adhering to schedule and safety protocols.
- Install appliances according to manufacturer specifications and customer requirements, ensuring proper setup and functionality.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions or concerns during delivery and installation.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation of completed installations.
- Assist in warehouse organization and inventory management as needed.
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, preferably with appliance or heavy equipment delivery.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Warehouse experience including loading/unloading and moving heavy objects safely.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks or similar commercial vehicles is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual labor safely for extended periods.
- Familiarity with route driving and route planning for efficient deliveries.
- Knowledge of appliance installation procedures is a plus but not required.
- Dependable, punctual, with a strong focus on safety standards and customer satisfaction.
