Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Architectural Sheet Metal Fabricator to produce high-quality custom metal components for architectural applications. This role involves fabricating, assembling, and finishing sheet metal products such as panels, flashing, roofing elements, and decorative features according to design specifications and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret architectural drawings, blueprints, and shop drawings to determine fabrication requirements
- Measure, cut, bend, and shape sheet metal using hand tools and machinery (e.g., shears, brakes, rollers,)
- Fabricate custom architectural components including wall panels, trim, flashing, coping, and ornamental elements
- Assemble and join metal parts using , riveting, soldering, or fastening techniques
- Ensure all work meets quality standards, tolerances, and project specifications
- Inspect finished products for accuracy, defects, and compliance
- Maintain tools, machinery, and a clean, safe work environment
- Collaborate with designers, engineers, and installation teams to ensure project success
- Follow safety protocols and OSHA guidelines at all times
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (trade school or apprenticeship preferred)
- 2 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication, preferably in architectural or construction environments
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Proficiency with fabrication tools and equipment
- Basic welding and metal finishing skills
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Physical ability to lift materials and stand for extended periods
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with architectural metals (aluminum, stainless steel, copper, zinc, etc.)
- Knowledge of building envelope systems and construction practices
Work Environment
- Fabrication shop and/or construction site settings
- Exposure to noise, dust, and metal materials
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required
