We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Immigration Lawyer to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in immigration law and demonstrate a commitment to providing exceptional legal services to clients navigating the complexities of immigration processes. This role requires excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clients.
Duties
- Provide legal advice and representation to clients on immigration matters, including visa applications and green card petitions.
- Conduct thorough research on immigration laws and regulations to ensure compliance and provide accurate guidance.
- Prepare and file legal documents, including petitions, applications, and appeals, ensuring all submissions meet required deadlines.
- Communicate with clients regularly to keep them informed about their cases and address any questions or concerns.
- Maintain organized case files and documentation by law office procedures.
- Prepare a wide variety of business-based nonimmigrant (H-1B, L-1, TN, E, and O-1) and immigrant (employment and family-based) petitions, including forms preparation and supporting documentation. Prepare immigrant visa petitions, including PERM, EB-1, NIW, EB-2, and EB-3 classifications.
Experience
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to practice law in the U.S. is preferred.
- Admission to practice law in Canada is preferred.
- Previous experience in immigration law is preferred.
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to draft clear and persuasive legal documents.
- Experience in a law office setting is highly desirable.
- A commitment to client advocacy and a passion for helping individuals navigate their immigration challenges.
