RWA is a small sized, award-winning residential architecture practice looking for a Junior Architectural Designer to join the team. Qualifications:
- Graduated with B.Arch or M.Arch from an accredited Architecture program
- 4 years of work experience with an emphasis on residential projects
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, 3D modeling (SketchUp), Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members on several projects at a time
- Attention to detail and good organizational skills
- Good verbal, written, and graphic communication, organizational, and collaborative skills
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct site surveys and field measurements and prepare existing conditions drawings.
- Develop feasibility studies, conceptual designs, and architectural documentation from schematic design through construction documents.
- Prepare permit and Department of Buildings (DOB) filing packages, coordinating with MEP engineers and other consultants.
- Produce 2D drawings, 3D models, renderings, and walkthroughs using AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, Enscape, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Research building materials, sustainable construction methods, Passive House strategies, and energy benchmarking to support high-performance design solutions.
- Prepare client proposals for new construction, renovations, interiors, permit filings, code compliance, and energy-related services.
- Create compelling presentation materials, marketing graphics, and website content.
- Participate in client meetings, prepare presentations and meeting minutes, and maintain communication with clients, consultants, contractors, and vendors.
- Conduct construction administration, including site visits, progress monitoring, coordination with project teams, issue resolution, and review of construction documents.
