Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst (On-site, Arlington VA — local candidates preferred)
A fast-growing energy organization is seeking a data-driven FP&A Analyst to support corporate financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and data visualization efforts. This role partners closely with accounting, finance, and cross-functional business units to deliver accurate financial insights and strengthen enterprise-wide reporting capabilities. The position is based on-site in Arlington, VA.
Highly prefer candidates with experience with SAP SAC.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to company-wide budgeting and forecasting across major financial statements.
- Support the maintenance and improvement of budgeting tools, models, and reporting processes (using modern analytics and planning platforms).
- Manage and update reporting systems, financial hierarchies, and master data to ensure leadership has accurate and actionable insights.
- Lead data visualization initiatives and build centralized financial dashboards and reporting suites.
- Partner with department leaders to identify KPIs, monitor performance, and support recurring business reviews.
- Prepare monthly financial reporting packages for internal stakeholders.
- Perform ad-hoc analysis, variance investigations, scenario modeling, and performance reporting as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Analytics, or a related discipline.
- 2 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or similar analytical roles.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights.
- High attention to detail, strong ownership mindset, and comfort operating in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced Excel capabilities, with strong presentation skills.
- Experience with business intelligence or planning tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SAP-based platforms, Workday, etc.).
- Ability to work with large datasets and familiarity with enterprise ERP systems.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
