We are seeking an experienced Electrical Field Service Technician to support the safe and reliable operation of multiple industrial facilities across the Southeast region.
This is a hands-on, field-based role focused on troubleshooting, maintenance, and reliability of medium to high voltage electrical systems. The position offers strong technical ownership and the opportunity to work across multiple sites and systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems and equipment
- Support electrical distribution systems including:
- Switchgear
- Substations
- Transformers
- Breakers and protective relay systems
- Motor Control Centers (MCCs)
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance, including:
- Infrared thermography
- Transformer oil analysis
- Power quality analysis
- Support root cause analysis and resolve recurring equipment issues
- Identify and address underperforming or high-risk electrical assets
- Assist with planning and execution of maintenance activities and turnarounds
- Provide technical guidance to plant personnel and contractors
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with industry standards
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience working with medium voltage (5kV–15kV) electrical systems in an industrial environment
- Strong hands-on experience with switchgear, substations, and transformers
- Proven troubleshooting and maintenance experience in industrial settings
- Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance programs
- Ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions in the field
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
