About Us

McKay Used Books in Manassas is a used book and media store for the entire family. We have been serving Northern Virginia since 1893. We buy, sell, and trade used books, movies, music, and gaming.

Sales Associate Responsibilities

• Check out customers using a point of sale system
• Catalog incoming merchandise
• Sort items for stocking
• Stock/maintain merchandise

Skills & Requirements

• Sales Associates must be able to speak clearly and communicate effectively with co-works and customers
• Must be familiar with the Windows operating system and have basic computer usage skills
• Prior experience in stock, point of system usage helpful
• Must have a friendly and helpful attitude
• Ideal applicants will have product knowledge pertaining to one or many areas of our store

Scheduling

• Must be available for either Saturday or Sunday weekly
• Must be available for at least one closing shift weekly
• Shifts duration is most commonly 8 hours, but can be 4 hours depending on the needs of the schedule

Position Physical Requirements

• Must be able to bend and twist
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Must be able to lift 50lbs when necessary

Compensation

• Rate of pay is $13/per hour
• Benefits available after 3 months to employees working 30 hours/week or more
