Founded in 1959 and with licenses across the U.S., Bowen serves a variety of local and national markets including retail, entertainment, education, governmental, public safety, transit, multi-family housing, office, and more. In 2025 we expanded to Erie, PA, and are looking to expand our team with architects and designers local to Western Pennsylvania.
We are looking for a creative, passionate and energetic Architect or Designer to take on roles in our commercial, retail, and civic work. This individual would complete pre-design, programming, design, construction documentation, and construction administration tasks.
The ideal candidate is resourceful and inquisitive, has a passion for great architecture, wants to help foster long-term client relationships through exemplary service, and believes that projects should be tailored to the client’s needs.
We are looking for candidates with a range of experience, with opportunities for recent grads, mid-career architects, and senior-level professionals.
Other preferred qualifications include:
· A professional degree
· Architectural registration, or pursuit of registration
· Proficiency in design software including REVIT and AutoCAD. Experience with Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite, and real time rendering packages is also appreciated.
· Ability to communicate effectively with team members, clients, and reviewing authorities.
· Attention to detail
· Effectively be able to research construction methodology, building code, building materials, and building typologies.
· Experience in all phases of design.
· Flexibility for Travel
· Experience within any or all of our sectors of practice, including commercial and public.
