Trial Readiness Specialist

Richard Harris Law Firm
Las Vegas, NV Full Time
POSTED ON 7/14/2026 CLOSED ON 7/25/2026

What are the responsibilities and job description for the Trial Readiness Specialist position at Richard Harris Law Firm?

Every successful trial begins long before the jury enters the courtroom.

Our firm is building a culture of trial readiness.  We believe exceptional trial results are driven by exceptional preparation. To support that vision, we are investing in a dedicated Trial Team that partners with our trial lawyers to prepare cases with intention, organization, and the strategic use of technology.

This is not a traditional paralegal position.  It is a specialized role for someone who enjoys solving problems, thrives on organization, embraces technology, and wants to play a meaningful role in preparing cases for trial.

Essential Functions:

  • Work directly with lead trial counsel throughout the trial preparation process.
  • Conduct comprehensive trial readiness audits to identify gaps in proof, discovery, witnesses, exhibits, and other trial preparation needs.
  • Coordinate with attorneys, paralegals, litigation assistants, investigators, experts, and vendors to ensure critical tasks are completed.
  • Organize and maintain digital trial files and supporting databases.
  • Prepare witness files, exhibit lists, deposition designations, demonstrative evidence, and trial notebooks.
  • Assist in developing timelines, witness summaries, demonstrative evidence, and other materials used to prepare and present cases at trial.
  • Prepare courtroom presentation materials and provide technology support during trial.
  • Assist with the implementation, and refining technology-driven workflows that improve how our trial team prepares cases, including the thoughtful use of AI and litigation technology.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Who You Are:

You're highly organized, detail-oriented, and naturally curious. You anticipate what's needed next, stay composed under pressure, and enjoy bringing structure to complex projects. You're comfortable with technology and eager to learn new tools that improve how work gets done. Most importantly, you take ownership of your work and care about helping a trial team present its best case.

What Will Help You Succeed:

We're less interested in where you've worked than in how you think.

If you're exceptionally organized, enjoy solving complex problems, embrace technology, and are eager to learn the art and science of trial preparation, we'd encourage you to apply.

Experience in litigation, trial preparation, courtroom support, legal technology, or other detail-oriented, project-driven environments can all provide a strong foundation for success in this role. What matters most is your curiosity, initiative, ownership, commitment to excellence, and desire to continuously learn and improve.

Core Competencies:

  • Organization & Attention to Detail: Able to manage large volumes of case materials with precision and structure.
  • Technology Aptitude: Comfortable learning and applying litigation support software, trial presentation tools, and AI-driven workflows.
  • Communication: Clear, professional communication with attorneys, staff, experts, and outside vendors.
  • Composure Under Pressure: Able to manage shifting priorities and tight trial deadlines without losing accuracy or focus.
  • Ownership & Initiative: Proactively identifies gaps and follows through without requiring close supervision.

  • May require travel to courthouses and off-site locations.
  • Occasionally/Frequently/Continually required to stand, walk, and sit.
