Our West Knoxville dental specialty office is offering a special opportunity for a motivated, goal-achieving, team-player. Duties include: computer scheduling, answering multi-line phone, data entry, collections, insurance claims, accounts receivables, marketing, etc. 2-5 years dental experience required and knowledge of Quickbooks and dental insurance verification and filing is preferred. Duties and Responsibilities
- This position is the key representative for all who call or visit our office; so the number one responsibility is delivering a superior level of customer service.
- Greet, welcome and direct all visitors, vendors, professional guests and patients.
- Place and receive calls on a multi-line phone system in a consistent, professional manner.
- Managing a paperless, professional practice management system that synchronizes with Quickbooks - includes scheduling appointments, assisting patients with in-office and online registration, data entry, report processing, managing incoming and outgoing e-mail correspondence, online supply ordering and research skills.
- Must ensure that common areas are presentable and equipped with necessary supplies.
- Must ensure completion of patient registration information, including signatures and security procedures.
- Perform routine tasks necessary for the operation and presentation of a professional office, including maintaining relationships / light marketing with referrring offices.
- Bookkeeping duties include: balancing production & collections with Quickbooks, paying bills, creating refunds, managing accounts receivables, creating reports, etc.
- Handles special administrative projects, as well as overflow work, as needed.
- Responsible for efficient scheduling and maintaining multiple calendars
Skill & Qualifications
- Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent with 5 years of dental experience - or - College / Business School or equivalent achievement with 2 years of dental experience.
- Excellent working knowledge of computer data entry and experience using Word, Excel, Quickbooks and dental software.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and effective common-sense decision-making.
- Must be an organized, multi-tasker with the ability to complete responsibilities efficiently and effectively.
- Works ethically, professionally and with the highest level of integrity.
- Must have a team-oriented work ethic always willing to pitch-in to support others.
