Responsibilities
- Operate machinery and equipment on the assembly line, including power tools and hand tools, to assemble products efficiently and accurately
- Use a forklift to move materials and finished goods safely around the manufacturing facility and warehouse areas
- Perform routine inspections of equipment and work areas to ensure safety standards are met and maintained
- Assist with loading, unloading, and organizing raw materials and finished products within the warehouse or production zones
- Follow detailed work instructions and safety protocols to uphold quality standards throughout the manufacturing process
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying potential issues or inefficiencies on the production line
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations to promote a safe, productive environment
Skills
- Prior experience in a factory or manufacturing facility is preferred but not required
- Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with assembly processes enhances your ability to succeed in this role. This would include the ability to read a tape measure
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and warehouse operations is advantageous
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to manufacturing environments. This would include the ability to lift 60 pounds safely
- Ability to operate machinery safely and efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Good communication skills for teamwork and following detailed instructions
- Willingness to learn new skills related to manufacturing processes and equipment operation
