Machine Operator - 1st Shift

Rich Ice Cream is seeking a motivated Equipment Operator to join our team in West Palm Beach, Florida. The right candidate will have the ability to set up and operate equipment in the ice cream division of Rich Ice Cream Company. This includes the manufacturing and processing of ingredient mixes used in the manufacturing of food products at our facility.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the packing and handling of ingredients and supplies in the production process.
• Make necessary adjustments to the machines.
• Record production and downtime information on the proper forms according to standard operating procedures.
• Observe gauges and thermometers to determine if the product is being manufactured according to specs.
• Produce quality products according to specifications.
• Give directions to packers on equipment being operated.
• Observe and listen to equipment to detect possible malfunctions.
• Where necessary, assist maintenance personnel in the maintenance and repair of equipment.
• Performs assigned maintenance duties on production equipment.
• Knowledgeable in GMP and GSP necessary in food operations.

Qualifications:

• Good ability in mathematics, legible handwriting, and good verbal communication skills.
• Must be physically capable of lifting and manually moving products weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Strong mechanical skills.
• Hydraulic and pneumatic experience is a plus.
• Experience with food manufacturing is a plus.
• Ability to follow all house and safety rules, Standards of Operations, and Procedures
