What are the responsibilities and job description for the LVN Staff Nurse - Nursing Home position at Riceland Healthcare?
Licensed vocational nurses are responsible for monitoring patients' vital signs, including their blood pressure, pulse, respiration, temperature, height, and weight. Additionally, LVN's are responsible for administering enemas, recording intake and output of foods and fluids, and collecting samples for testing. A licensed vocational nurse administers and documents medication under a physician's order. Licensed vocational nurses usually work in hospitals, long-term care facilities, and physician offices.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepares clinical/ progress notes daily and incorporates into the clinical record weekly.
- 24/7 On-Call for any patient issues.
- Handles all refill requests
- Reviews all patient labs and gives orders
. * Manages patient care. For example: Lab orders, changes in condition, new issues, radiology orders.
- Consult with MDs and NPs regarding patient orders.
- Schedule patient's monthly/weekly skilled visits.
- Verify patient's medication lists are accurate.
- Handle all PAs
- Maintain contact with patient's Home Health regarding issues/orders.
- Receive new orders and sent to facilities. * Imaging orders and results * Assist with Home Health referrals
- Notify billing of completed rounds - ready to bill
- Handle DME orders * Send progress notes to facilities
- Facility rounds with all provider
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour
