What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sandwich Maker/ Food Prep position at Riceful?
Riceful is a locally owned Japanese rice sandwich shop near UC Berkeley. We’re a fast-growing business focused on fresh, delicious food and a positive team culture.
We’re looking for an experienced, reliable and detail-oriented team member to join our growing team!
This is not a seasonal position!
What You’ll Do
- Prepare Japanese rice sandwiches and drinks following our recipes
- Handle food prep and kitchen setup for daily service
- Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and stocked
- Assist with opening or closing duties
- Work efficiently with a small, supportive team
What We’re Looking For
- Previous kitchen or food preparation experience is required
- Able to handle food prep and work independently during busy shifts
- Available to work either morning shifts (9:00 AM–3:00 PM) or evening shifts (3:00 PM–9:00 PM)
- Weekend and holiday availability is required
- Reliable, hardworking, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and a team-player mindset
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $19.60 - $22.00 per hour
