AR/AP Specialist

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized AR/AP Specialist to join our accounting team at a dynamic alternative investment company. This role is critical to maintaining the integrity of our financial operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions, and supporting broader financial reporting and compliance efforts. This position reports to the Controller.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collect, code and process vendor invoices and credit card transactions
• Obtain proper approval on all payments
• Process employee expense reports
• Allocate expenses and ensure compliance with company policies and fund documents
• Prepare invoices and process accounts receivable
• Initiate wire and bank transfers
• Reconcile bank accounts and resolve discrepancies
• Reconcile intercompany balances
• Maintain the accuracy of the general ledger
• Manage vendor details in Ramp
• Prepare 1099s annually
• Support audits and regulatory filings by providing documentation and transaction history
• Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives.
• Other related duties/projects as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2 or 4 year degree in accounting, finance or related field
• 3 years of AP/AR experience preferably within financial services
• Proficiency in Ramp, Excel and QuickBooks
• Great organizational, time management and attention to detail skills
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Comfortable working in a high-growth, fast moving environment
• Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision; ability to work and problem solve independently
• Ability to network and collaborate cross-functionally

Job Type: Full-time

Base Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
