General Manager – Captain D’s

Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily leadership and direction to the restaurant team, ensuring efficient operations, high standards, and a positive work environment.
- Recruit, hire, train, develop, and retain top talent; manage performance, scheduling, and employee relations.
- Maintain full compliance with Captain D’s policies, procedures, food safety standards (aiming for 90% health scores), and all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Oversee inventory management, product quality, food safety (shelf life, rotation, temperature control), and cost control to meet or exceed weekly targets.
- Drive sales growth through excellent guest service, community involvement, and operational excellence while controlling labor and other costs.
- Manage accounting, payroll, inventory reports, and other administrative functions accurately and timely.
- Ensure proper maintenance of the restaurant facility and equipment, including preventative care.
- Build strong community relationships and promote a positive dining experience for every guest.
- Collaborate closely with the Area Director on goals, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications Required:
- Minimum 3 years of progressive management experience in quick-service or full-service restaurants.
- Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, P&L management, food safety, and HR practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work 50 hours per week, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record and food handler’s certification.
Preferred:
- Experience with Captain D’s or similar QSR brands.
- Proven track record in sales growth, team development, and multi-unit operations.
- Proficiency with POS systems, Microsoft Office, and email applications.
Physical & Work Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.
- Strong vision, hearing, speech, and manual dexterity.
- Standard restaurant environment with potential exposure to varying weather during travel or outdoor duties.
- Occasional travel by car or air may be required.
