Payroll Clerk

Salary: $27 - $30 DOEWe are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Payroll Clerk to join our finance team. The Payroll Clerk will be responsible for processing payroll, maintaining and reconciling payroll, responding to inquiries, posting and depositing checks, and general support of the accounting and support services team. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong foundation in accounting principles and a desire to grow within a dynamic organization.Key Responsibilities:Process payrollPost payroll related vendor invoicesMaintain required payroll related reconciliationRespond to payroll related inquiriesVendor statement reconciliationPost client checks and process depositsReconciliation of cash and credit card accountsPost and track trade A/P invoicesAttend financial meetings as required/neededSupport the Accounting Manager and Staff Accountant in various tasks or projectsSupport other miscellaneous administrative tasks in support servicesEducation/Experience:Associates degree in accounting, finance, or related field OR 2 years of accounting experience (internships included).Skills:Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with ERP systems and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and payroll systems (ADP, Bamboo, Etc...).Working Conditions:Office environment.Additional hours may be required based on workload during peak times.Why Join Rice Fergus Miller:Location: Hybrid: co-location with team to work in person at our LEED Platinum, re-imagined warehouse in Bremerton, WA.Culture: Be part of a B-Corp certified firm recognized for design excellence and employee well-being.Compensation: Competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, professional development, and paid time off.Rice Fergus Miller is anequal opportunity employer.
